Intercessions for Easter 4, 3rd May 2020

Let us pray for the Church and for the world and thank God for his goodness.

The Lord is our shepherd therefore we lack nothing.

Almighty God , our heavenly Father, you promised through your son Jesus Christ to hear us when we pray in faith.
We pray for your Church today many gathering electronically throughout the world to hear your holy word and to meet you in the Blessed body and blood of your dear son.

In particular we pray for Cherry our Bishop and for all priests and people here in this diocese.
Lord in your mercy…

We pray for the leaders of the world, for our NHS staff and all those making decisions concerning our future.
Lord in your mercy…

We pray for peace in the world particularly in the Yeman and for all those suffering the effects of CV19, for those persecuted for their faith and for all refugees.
Lord in your mercy…

Let us bring before God all those who are in sickness in body, mind or sprit, Praying particularly for those with CV19,for those who have asked for our prayers and for those who have no one to pray for them.
Lord in your mercy…

Of your charity pray for the souls of all the faithful departed.
We pray at this time especially for those who have died from CV19 and those who have recently departed this life in our parishes.

+ Rest eternal grant unto them and let light perpetual shine upon them.
May they rest in peace and rise in glory
Lord in your mercy…

We pray for ourselves that we may face the challenges of the coming week and we pray for all in isolation from family and friends.
Lord in your mercy…

With the Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of your only son, St Phillip, St James and all your saints.

The prayer ends with:
Merciful Father accept these prayers
for the sake of your Son, our saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
