The funeral service of the late David Hopson will take place at St. Michael’s Church on Friday 6th September at 2.15pm.


Concert on Friday 6th September at 7.30pm at St. Mary’s Church: Ensemble Molière are joined by the internationally acclaimed soprano Lauren Lodge-Campbell. Tickets £12, available on the door, and free for under 12s.


Ecumenical Service of Vespers: Sunday 8th September at 3.00pm at Tintern Abbey. The preacher will be the Revd Dr Tim Macquiban, Methodist Delegate in Rome.  All welcome – bring a chair.


St Michael’s Church, Sunday 8th September:  Mr Alindra Naskar will be joining St. Michael’s from the coastal region of West Bengal near Kolkata in India.For many years he worked for The Leprosy Mission making orthotics and prostheses for patients.

Having been sponsored into school as a child by his local Catholic priest, on retirement he used his pension to set up a wonderful school for disadvantaged children for over 500 pupils locally in Father Ante Gabric’s name. More than 500 children now attend, and Hands around the World is delighted to be supporting his inspirational work.

‘A History of the Bible’ Seminars, starting Saturday 21st September: Monthly based on John Barton’s ‘A History of the Bible’ will take place from 10.30am in the Geoffrey Room at Monmouth Priory.
